22FEB2024 | DAY 08 | Yes, that is a picture of an aquarium’s pump…what’s interesting about this one is it replaces one that was half its size, even as the tank in which it was installed remained constant…this pump has two filters, and filters water twice as fast as the last pump…after only a day, it is noticeable how much cleaner the tank is when there is a more robust filtration system at work…while we are called to tend our discipleship journey throughout the year, Lent is a time where we bring a bit more intentionality to the filtering of our everyday…begging the question of how much more of our lives can be cleansed if we take advantage of the Lenten season to allow Christ’s grace, peace, mercy, and love filter out those things that pollute us and everyone/everything around us?
